The YLOK Journey Continues in Tulsa!

So Today's YLOK adventure was tons of fun! We left the Embassy Suites in Norman at a bright 7:30 and headed to Tulsa where we toured the Williams Center, which was really cool. The people there were incredibly nice and very informative, I learned a lot of cool things about Tulsa. We then went to Harwelden Mansion and we had and absolute blast! We split up into 3 groups, Pottery, drawing and an afican drum class. I was in the African drum class and it was so much fun, we learned two songs and our intructor Arthur Thompson was really cool. After we were through with our classes we had a little show to show each other what we accomplished and although the clay project and drawings were amazing, Our drum and song show was pretty outstanding, so good that our lovely sponsor, Leanne teared up. Then Eskimo Joes, and now we are all hanging out by the pool, with Angel's beautiful singing voice being the cherry on top of a great day! This trip is amazing! - Natalie Mayberry, Mounds High school

Hour by hour, hash tag by hash tag, this trip becomes more and more memorable! From the late nights to the ridiculously early mornings, friendship are made. Today was a fairly easy day compared to the first couple. We were allowed to "sleep in" by only having to leave by 7:30. A two hour drive later and we arrived at the BOk tower to visit the admirable Williams Company. Founded in 1908, Williams is one of Americas leading natural gas producer/providers and they have a pretty sweet tower to go along with their profitable organization. We then traveled to the Harwelden Mansion to learn about the arts. Led by an LOK graduate, groups had the opportunity to mold with clay, experience our inner artist, or unleash your rhythmical talents. The drummer group (my group) was by far the most fun and performed the best as well! Marty then rushed us to the interesting town of Stillwater. After learning about Eskimo Joe's paraphernalia, we enjoyed the food from Stilly's best restaurant. We then went to our hotel and had a bumping pool party with whirlpools and games galore. Now it's bed time and I must say good bye!
Good night to all, Andy Stewart, Duncan High School
